UltraSnap is a screen-capture utility for Windows platforms. The application has been around for ages and was originally not released to the public. However, the developers saw the need for an application like this around the office and decided to indulge the end-users. UltraSnap can do everything that the built-in Windows application can do. You can have UltraSnap take a screenshot of the totality of your screen, or select a part of the screen to be snapped. Also, you can have the application take snaps of active or inactive windows. That is the functionality of the basic screen capture applications. UltraSnap takes this a step further by adding some nice features. With it, you can add shadows to your screens. This is mainly for presentations and for images to be used in documents. The feature I like the most is the addition of text to your screens. By simply hitting a hotkey, you can take a screenshot of anything on your screen, type some text, and the final result will show that text embedded into the image. Also, you can customize your own hotkeys to use with the application. |
